Every December

Mission Mall

An annual community event held at the beginning of the Advent season — a centralized “alternative giving” market where local non-profits and charitable organizations gather to share their missions and seek support for the year ahead.

Focus on Giving

Attendees donate to causes in honor of friends or family. Organizations provide cards or certificates explaining the impact of each gift.

Diverse Non-Profits

Past participants have included ELCA World Hunger, local food pantries, and a wide range of community support programs.

Community Awareness

The event connects the Sunbury community to the work of local service groups and provides volunteer opportunities for all.

Timing

Held on a Sunday in late November or early December, aligning with the start of the Advent season.

Camp Mount Luther

A 400-acre year-round outdoor ministry and summer camp in Mifflinburg, PA. Founded in 1963 and affiliated with the Upper Susquehanna Synod of the ELCA, it serves as the outdoor education home for local school districts.

Since 2017 Zion has maintained a Biblical Garden, growing fresh produce to share with our neighbors. A simple, hands-on way of living out our call to serve the community around us.
